Youth Wrestling Club

An introduction into the sport of wrestling.  We will warm up, stretch, go through wrestling mobility drills, cover the basic positions and introduce takedowns, pinning moves and escapes. Parents are encouraged to join their child to help with one-on-one focused instruction.

• Ages 4-6
• 6 Week season
• Practice: 11 days of practice followed by a low-stress exhibition competition

Designed to build confidence into kids while showing them the basics of wrestling. We will warm up, stretch, go through wrestling movement drills, cover the basic positions, takedowns, pinning moves and escapes.  Additional attention will be given to competition level training.  Parents are encouraged to help.

• Ages 6-9, up to 3 years experience
• Practice: 2 days a week running December to March
• Competitions:

               MYWAY membership if desired

               Up to 4 Scheduled exhibition meets

Designed for competition level training and entry into the Caledonia Middle/High School wrestling curriculum. Extra focus and attention into technique and competition.

• Ages 8+ with the ability to follow advanced instruction
• Practice: 2 days a week running December to March
• Competitions:

               MYWAY membership with the club coaches committing to attend 4+             

               tournaments(Parent coaches available as most all events)

               Up to 4 Scheduled exhibition meets

2023/2024 $125 with a $225 family cap for grades K-8th.

Season Runs November 29 -March 31 (through MWYAY State)

Club Fee Includes:

2 practices per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays ), Monday Meat Grinder duals, and MYWAY Membership.
